Renting Farm Assets Workshops to be held in the Chippewa Valley
February 22 & 23 – Change is occurring with cropland rental, pasture and farm building rates in the area. Local UW-Extension offices will bring forward the latest information and tools for landlords and tenants in the upcoming “Renting Farm Assets” workshops. Participants will receive example rental agreement contracts, and see the latest results on farmland rent values in the Chippewa Valley area (Chippewa, Dunn and Eau Claire Counties). Workshops will be held February 22nd at Unity Bank in Augusta and February 23rd at Dunn County Judicial Center in Menomonie from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Registration is $20.00 and includes lunch and materials.
Guest speakers/collaborators for the workshop include Ken Bolton, UW-Center for Dairy Profitability; Jerry Clark, Chippewa andEau ClaireCounty UWEX Crops & Soils Educator; Randy Knapp, Chippewa County UWEX Agriculture Agent; Katie Sternweis, Dunn County UWEX Agriculture Agent; and Mahlon Peterson, Eau Claire County UWEX Agriculture Agent.
